As a significant Kiwifruit orchard management and post-harvest operation in the Bay of Plenty, Direct Management Services offers a complete package to growers and industry investors.

We started in 1989 as a small team, initially leasing two packhouses and now own major modern sites which we have expanded at Te Puna and Te Puke.  We now manage more than 100 orchards and employ 70 full-time staff.  During the main harvest season (March to June), the company employees a further 700 seasonal Kiwifruit staff.

DMS started as an orchard management service, moving to post-harvest operations in the early 1990's in order to provide a full service to its clients.

DMS is now an integrated company operating at all levels of the New Zealand Kiwifruit industry.  Although the bulk of our orchard management and post-harvest operations involve Kiwifruit, the company is also active in the avocado industry.  A strong association with NZAML (New Zealand Avocado Marketing Limited) has seen a significant increase of avocados packed through DMS with greater volumes anticipated.

The integration between orchards and post-harvest is total, with key orchard managers taking a major packhouse management role in the harvest season.  The full integration between orchard and post-harvest operations means DMS is well-placed to understand and surpass grower expectation and requirements.
